Sniper insecticide.

Although Alabi did not pay Bose’s bride price because the family demanded sum as whooping as half a million naira, the union which produced three children was said to have lasted well beyond seven years.

It was gathered that Alabi who works as a tiler used his wife’s phone to call a colleague before leaving for work.

Unknown to her that her husband made a call with her phone, Bose dialed the same number probably without checking it out.

The Togo born woman told the man over the phone to meet her at her place without knowing it was her husband’s colleague.

The man opened the can of worms to Alabi who confronted Bose on reaching home.

Initially, the woman denied the allegation but later owned up and confessed that she has been cheating on her husband after he threatened to report to her family.

Alabi went to bed angrily but was jolted from sleep by the kicks from his wife who was in severe pains.

He alerted their neighbours after he discovered that the woman had emptied the content of an insecticide.

All efforts made to remedy the situation proved quite abortive as she died while they were headed to Ogba General Hospital.

One of the relatives of the deceased claimed that Alabi definitely killed Bose since he had failed to pay her bride price and had been living with her for more than seven years.

Alabi denied the claims stating that he could not afford the high bill given to him by the wife’s family, hence his failure to pay the bride price.

Alabi who was arrested pleaded his innocence before the detectives at the homicide unit of Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Yaba.
