The police command in Ogun state have apprehended a cemetery worker, one Oluwatoyosi Akorede, with human skulls.
ASP, Abimbola Oyeyemi, Police public relation officer spoke to Daily Post on Monday, October 3, 2016.
Oyeyemi said that that the suspect, Oluwatoyosi Akorede, who is an attendant at Ayepe Cemetery, was nabbed on Sunday, October 2,, at Isale Oko in Sagamu by a patrol team led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO of Sagamu, SP, Moses Aduroja.
“Oluwatoyosi Akorede is suspected to have gotten the skulls by exhuming bodies of dead people.
“The commissioner of police, CP, Ahmed Iliyasu has directed that the suspect be transferred to the command headquarters, Eleweran in Abeokuta for further investigation.
“The suspect is being interrogated to unravel the reasons for his action and has thus far confessed the items were needed to perform rituals,” Oyeyemi said.
