It’s been a hard time for international singer Celine Dion as she deals with losing two people very close to her.
The grieving singer was absent from her brother Daniel’s funeral on Monday, January 26, 2016, just two days after paying a final farewell at his memorial service.
The My Heart Will Go On singer has had a devastating few weeks, as she has had to cope with the loss of her beloved husband René Angélil as well as the death of her brother, who died from cancer last week at the age of 59.
Celine attended a memorial service for Daniel on Saturday, a day after her husband’s funeral, but declined to attend the final service at St-Simon-et-Jude parish in Charlemagne, Québec, where the family was raised, because she could not continue two more days of public mourning, Entertainment Tonight reports.
Celine was pictured at his memorial on Saturday however, at a funeral home outside of Montreal, in Repentigny.
A source told People.com that Celine is finding the loss “hard”, as they said: “They’re close; she’s close with all of her siblings.”
Celine was seen arriving at the funeral home in a grey suit with her 88-year-old mother Therese and sister.
They were present at the St-Simon-et-Jude parish in Charlemagne, Quebec on Friday to say goodbye to Celine’s husband too.
