Members of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in the South Western region of the country have lashed out on the Federal Government for painting the overall President of the Association, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, in a bad light since the alleged usage of his private jet to convey huge hard currency to South Africa came to fore.
This was contained in a statement made by the chairman of the association, Archbishop Magnus Adeyemi Atilade in Osogbo, Osun State.
The statement suggested that the national security adviser, and defence minister needed to be interrogated to reveal what they knew about the smuggling of the arms with Oritsejafor’s private jet which eventually caused the authorities of South Africa to confiscate arms fund worth $9.3 million.
Furthermore, the association was of the view that there was something fishy about the case owing to the fact that the president who is involved in the scandal knew nothing about the jet after it was hired.
According to reports by Punch, the statement said, “Dasuki and Gwarzo should be questioned and they should provide urgent answers to this national embarrassment to Nigerians.”
