Dr. Frederick Fasehun, national chairman of Unity Party of Nigeria, on Sunday, May 22, 2016, took President Muhammadu Buhari to the cleaners, saying Buhari’s government lacked capable economic team to pilot the economy of the country.
Fasehun said Buhari’s cabinet is laden with men who do not have experience in finance management, hence he described them as insults to the Nigerian economy, Daily Post reports.
Fasehun listed erudite men in finance management to include Prof. Pat Utomi, President of Lagos Business School; Charles Soludo, former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and others who are known to be renowned in managing national economy to help him turn the economy aright for him.
He was speaking on the economy of the nation in Lagos where he told President Buhari to organize a super economic team to guide him and save Nigeria from the present economic mess.
He accused Buhari of covering up evidence of corruption allegations members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said Nigeria had degenerated since Buhari took over the realm of power in 2015, saying he should not be deceived by the sycophants dancing around him and singing his praises.
He said the people in his government are occupying offices through nepotism and political expediency.
“Buhari’s current cabinet is an insult to Nigerian economic wizards at home and in the Diaspora. This weakness became apparent with the mishandling of the 2016 budget. There is an urgent need for a complete overhauling of the government’s economic team,” Fasehun said.
