Last Friday, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari welcomed a new son to his family when his second daughter, Fatimah Buhari got married to Gimba Ya’u Kumo, a former managing director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria.
Well, it turns out that there may be more to this union as a citizen reporter platform reveals that the 57-year-old former banker may be under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for alleged N3 billion fraud that occurred under his watch as the boss of the state-owned mortgage bank.

There was no immediate reply from the EFCC when our reporter asked for comment on this new information.
The president’s daughter joined the Gimba family as the 4th wife. Both her father and Aisha Buhari, his wife and her step-mother, were absent from the wedding ceremony.
