Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, June 19, 2016 returned to Nigeria after spending two weeks in London on sick leave, Punch reports.
According to news reports, the president landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 5.33pm.
Buhari was welcomed by Governors Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara, Yahaya Bello of Kogi, some members of the cabinet, top government officials, federal lawmakers and service chiefs among others, Punch reports.
On arrival, the president, reportedly, inspected a guard of honour mounted by men of the guards brigade.
“With the elaborate airport ceremonies over, the president and some top aides left for the Presidential Villa,” the report said.
The retired military general left Nigeria on pentimultum Monday on a sick-leave to the United Kingdom to treat what the Nigerian presidency described as a “persistent ear infection”.

The president has, reportedly, been diagnosed of brain and ear cancer by London doctors.
A reliable source in the presidency confirmed to The Trent that the President Buhari had received a cancer diagnosis and UK specialists had recommended surgery to remove the cancer. However, the president is reluctant to undergo a surgery for fear of being out of office for up to 6 months, the recuperating period.
Controversial Roman Catholic priest, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka claims he saw a vision of Buhari’s illness and said chances of healing is slim. He made this revelation at one of his miracle ministries programmes in Enugu.
Father Mbaka complained that several efforts he made to reach people close to Buhari over the vision had remained unsuccessful as they refused picking his calls.
The presidency remains silent on the cancer diagnosis, reportedly on the orders of Buhari who says that “it will only be a distraction”.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian presidency insists that Buhari is not sick.
