With October 1, the day set aside to celebrate Nigeria’s independence from Great Britain draws near, reports have it that President Muhammadu Buhari has opted to tow the line of President Goodluck Jonathan and hold a low-key celebration inside Aso Rock.
According to Daily Post, the country’s armed forces began rehearsals ahead of the event on Thursday, September 17, 2015,
It will be recalled that Jonathan began holding the independence day celebrations inside Aso Rock after the 2010 celebrations was marred by explosions which rocked the Eagles Square, Abuja.
