#SoundOff: The Dubious Apologies Of Buharists And Their Lack Of Principled Patrotism

Must read

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] was invited to an entrepreneurship contest in Port Harcourt about 2 or 3 months ago that had judges selected from across the country. One of the judges was an acquaintance of mine, a Buhari online activist, also known as, Buharist.

When he was introduced, as a judge, the young man, who sat at the extreme of the hall refused to come up to his reserved position, where he was to sit with other judges. I couldn’t understand why.

Well, the show went on. Halfway into it, he was introduced again. This time as “the guy who rebranded and sold Buhari to Nigerians”. Then, he stood up and walked above the heads of everyone in the hall to take his reserved seat.

I was shocked. I asked myself, “so Buhari brand na something to celebrate kwa?” Well, that was it. They needed to add that he re-branded Buhari for him to come do his duty. Imagine the arrogance!

It is now funny to find that he and his friends have lost faith in the system they branded to hoodwink the rest of us. I’m particularly glad that they are the first victims.

Soon after this disastrous regime sat in, the doors were slammed against them. All of them.

All these apologies they are throwing around mean nothing. They are not borne out of any sound principles or patriotism. They are protesting their aching ribs and kwashiorkored bellies. Nothing more, nothing less.

It’s personal interest as it always has been. So, please pay them no attention. The crying has not even started, they are shouting.

Them go see proper pepper. Scallywags.
