The Cambridge Crown court in England has sentenced a 20-year-old Dean Harris to life imprisonment for killing Amina Agboola, a 2-year-old daughter of a Nigerian man, Reuben Agboola, in November 2013.
During interrogation, Harris confessed to killing the toddler because he got frustrated watching her soil herself.
According to reports, the girl died as a result of the force Harris exerted when he kicked her six feet across the room damaging her liver in the process. Paramedics confirmed they had found her body lying like a rag doll.
Harris started dating Sarah Racqueman, the late toddler’s mother after she parted ways with Amina’s father, Reuben Agboola.
Harris admitted to manslaughter but was convicted of the child’s murder, and he is to spend 17 years in jail.
Meanwhile, Agboola who hardly saw his daughter got to hear the sad news a year later from Police officers revealed he’s still crying over the death of his daughter.
He said, “I am pleased with the sentence Dean Harris has received today. However the grief feels like it has no end. I think about Amina constantly. I still cry everyday.”
