The Nigerian presidency has announced that the West African Examination Council, WAEC, has presented an “attestation certificate” to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina announced this on his Twitter handle @FemiAdesina on Friday, November 2, 2018.
”WAEC presents attestation certificate and confirmation of school cert result to President Buhari. What will the naysayers say next?,” the presidential spokesperson wrote as he took a swipe at the president’s critics.

Mr. Adesina did not present a copy of the said document.
The controversy surrounding President Buhari’s secondary school qualification was reignited when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) released the list of presidential candidates of political parties last week.
The President claimed in an affidavit that his certificate was still with the military authorities.
