Femi Gbajabiamila, the speaker of the House Representatives, has announced the names of principal officers from the majority All Progressives Congress, APC.
The speaker made this announcement on Thursday, July 4, 2019, in which he named Alhassan Ado Doguwa, from Kano has the House leader while Peter Akpatason, from Edo, will serve as the deputy house leader.

Tahir Mohammed Monguno, from Borno, was announced as the chief whip of the House and would serve as Nkiruika Onyejeocha from Abia was announced as the deputy chief whip.
Prior to his new appointment, Mr. Doguwa was the chief whip in the 8th House.
