A petrol tanker has caught fire on Otedola Bridge, along Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Lagos state.
The fire, which started at about 10:45am on Friday, May 28, 2021 began from the front of the tanker and didn’t get to the tank carrying petrol.
Footage from the scene shows motorists actively trying to avoid the burning tanker.
No casualty was recorded as the Fire Service arrived promptly and succeeded in putting out the flames.
Multiple accidents and tanker explosions have occurred on the Otedola Bridge over the years and just days ago, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos State Command, Olusegun Ogungbemide, had to reassure commuters that there are no demons, witches or wizards at the Otedola Bridge.
