“We will not accept it,” Mr. Godsday Orubebe chants at the INEC collation centre chants as he disrupts the proceedings of the INEC result reading in Abuja on Tuesday, March 31, 2015.
As the election umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, set the stage to commence today’s session of the announcement of the presidential elections result, the session was interrupted by an aggrieved Nigerian who is protesting bais on the part of INEC chairman, Attahiru Jega.
Orubebe, a former minister of Niger Delta and official of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, accuses Jega of being partial in the collation of the presidential results. He stated that Jega sprung to action when the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, contested the results from Rivers State but ignored PDP’s petition of electoral conduct in Kano State.
