Renowned Preacher Myles Munroe And Wife Killed In Airplane Crash [UPDATED]

Dr. Myles Munroe, internationally-known author, bible teacher, governmental consultant and leadership mentor, was one of nine passengers on a plane that crashed in Grand Bahama on Sunday afternoon, according to multiple news reports.

A Lear 36 executive jet left the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) for the Grand Bahama International Airport, the Department of Civil Aviation reports. The plane departed at 4:07 p.m. and carried nine people. The vessel crashed while making its landing approach, the Department of Civil Aviation said.

News reports indicate his wife, Ruth was also killed in the crash.

Myles Munroe’s ministry was not immediately available for comment.

Update: 

It has been confirmed that Charisa Munroe, only daughter of Myles Munroe and wife, Ruth was not among the nine passengers who died in the ill-fated incident as earlier reported.

Bahamas Faith International Ministries released a statement identifying the crew and passengers of the ill-fated flight. Seven passengers on board the flight with Dr. Munroe and his wife were identified as;

  1. Dr. Richard Pinder (59), Senior Vice President and Pastor, Bahamas Faith Ministries International

  2. Stanley Thurston (62), Pilot

  3. Franhkan Cooper (34), Co-Pilot

  4. Lavard & Radel Parks, Youth Pastors, Bahamas Faith Ministries International and their son Johanan Parks (5),

  5. Diego DeSantiago (38), who frequently traveled with Dr. Munroe as a Spanish interpreter.
