INEC Kano Resident Electoral Commissioner, Wife, Children Die In Home Fire

Barley a week after overseeing presidential and National Assembly elections, the Kano State Resident Electoral Commissioner for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mikaila Abdulahi has died in a fire in his home..

The time of the incident is yet to be specified, with reports claiming it occurred either in the night of Thursday, April 2 or in the early hours of Friday, April 3, 2015.

It is also reported that asides Abdulahi, his wife and two children were also killed in the fire.

The Kano State Police Spokesman has confirmed the unfortunate incident.
