Nigeria’s former minister of Information, Dora Akunyili has been reported dead by Sahara Reporters.
Professor Akunyili who was also former chief executive of Nigeria’s National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) died in a hospital in India where she has been receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
Akunyili was a delegate to the National Conference where she was representing Anambra State. She had been ill for sometime and a family source told The Trent that her ailment had defied explanation.
She was aged 59.
