Retired Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service, Chief Oladipupo Kuye, has died at the age of 81.
According to family sources, Kuje passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. His last assignment in the Customs Service was as Comptroller of Buildings, Nationwide.
A devote Christian, Kuje held the position of Otun Baba Ijo, Methodist Church Nigeria, Ijebu Ode, Diocese of Ijebu of the Church until his death. He was a seasoned administrator, community and religious leader who also belonged to the prestigious Island Club, Lagos, the Ijebu Club, and other eminent religious and community societies.
He is survived by wife, children, grandchildren, cousins, in-laws, and relations, especially, the Kuyes, the Odulanas and the Oloyemaruns of Ijebu Ife, nationally and in the Diaspora.
He leaves behind seven children Mrs. Iyabo Sunmonu, Mr. Sunday Kuye, Mrs. Dolapo Otegbayi, Miss. Banke Kuye, Mr. Oloyede Kuye, Miss Omoniyi Kuye and Mrs. Lara Akindunni.
Funeral Arrangements will be announced by the family later.
