There has been a serious accident has occurred at Ilaje Bus Stop at Lekke -Epe Expressway on Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
An eye witness who spoke to The Trent said a driver knocked down a pedestrian at the busy bus stop at about 8 a.m which caused a lot of traffic jam.

According to reports, the pedestrian was killed in the accident. A lot of fatal accidents have occurred in this area in recent times.
Youths in the community came out to protest the frequent accidents that have claimed many lives, insisting the government should build a pedestrian bridge.
The Ilaje youths have mounted roadblocks on both lanes, leaving all motorists at a stand still.

There is no movement as the youths insist governor Fashola must show up to address the crowd, and make a firm promise to construct a pedestrian bridge to end the frequent accidents that occur in the same spot.
Traffic is building all the way from Abraham Adesanya down to Ilaje.
