An explosion has gone off in a church in Jos, the Plateau State capital on Sunday, July 12, 2015.
According to reports, the explosion went off an an ECWA Church in Tudunwa, Angwan Yashi, located close to the Federal Secretariat in Jos, Jos North Local Government Area of the state.
According to a witness, a guard at the church was said to have seen, picked and threw the bomb away seconds before it exploded, making sure that no casualty was recorded, although he was injured in the leg and take to the hospital for treatment.
It was also gathered that an anti-bomb squad was deployed to the church, which led to the discovery of another bomb in the church’s restroom.
Confirming the incident was the Plateau State Police Spokesman, Abuh Emmanuel, who availed thus: “Experts have been sent there immediately to ascertain those who planted the explosion, and possibly, the manufacturers of the device. But I was told no one died in the incident.”
