An explosion has occurred, Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Escravos Gas To Liquid (GTL) facility killing a staff of Chevron Nigeria.
According to a source at the location on the island, who spoke with The Trent, the explosion is believed to be chemical related.
The identify of the victim has not been released by the company. Staff, on the facility, are still expecting an official briefing at the time of filing this report.
Escravos GTL is a project based in the Escravos region in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The plant converts natural gas to liquid petroleum products.
