Former Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF) and Afenifere chieftain, Chief Olu Falae, has been released by his adductors, according to Vanguard.
Details of his release remain sketchy. But reports saw he was dropped off in Owo in Ogun State and he is on his way to his country home in Akure, and a ransom was paid.
Falae was abducted from his farm in Ilado Village in Akure North Local Government Area in Akure, Ondo State when a gang of 20 gunmen, allegedly, Fulani herdsmen stormed his property attacking his staff and making away with the elders statesman.

Falae turned 80 on the day of his abduction which had drawn condemnation from Nigerians.
The Odua People’s Congress (OPC) had launched a manhunt for his return on Tuesday.
President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered the police on Wednesday to launch a rescue mission for Falae who is a former Finance Minister and presidential candidate.
