The dreaded Islamist extremist group, Boko Haram has attacked the Federal College of Education in Kano with multiple bomb blasts.
Residents of Kabuga, the host community of the institution, say they heard a loud explosion after which sporadic gunshots followed at about 3:20pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.
The explosion has caused serious panic in the area, which is close to Bayero University, and the whole place is said to be in chaos right now.
Men from the security agencies are said to have arrived the area.
A spokesman for the Joint Task Force, Ikechukwu Eze has confirmed the incident.
