No fewer than six persons were reportedly killed as a suicide bomber attacked a mosque during early morning prayers on Friday, October 23, 2015 in Maiduguri, capital of troubled Borno State.
According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), about 17 other persons sustained varying degrees of injuries following the attack.
The injured victims have been taken to a hospital for treatment.
Although there has not been any immediate claims of the attack, there are strong indications that the attacker would be an insurgent loyal to Boko Haram Islamist sect.
