Gunmen have kidnapped the Leader-General of All Christian Practical Praying Band, Elder Dan Nwokolo.
The criminals invaded the residence of the cleric in Ufuma, Orumba North Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra State and abducted him on Thursday.
They subsequently took him to an unknown destination.
This newspaper gathered that as of Thursday afternoon, no contact has been established with Elder Nwokolo’s family.
The Anambra state police spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, did not confirm the incident as calls and text messages to his phone line for comments, were not responded to as of the time of publishing this report.
In a piece of related news, Senator representing Anambra South senatorial district in the National Assembly, Ifeanyi Ubah, has donated N500 million to Anambra State, to support the fight against insecurity.
Ubah made the pledge during a recent visit to the state Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, at the Government House.
