A group of gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram insurgency group had on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at about few minutes past 2pm invaded the police station in Nafada Local Government in Gombe, attacking and looting its weaponry before burning down the station.
An eye witness who confirmed the incident to The Cable on phone disclosed that the gunmen operated without resistance because the policemen on duty fled for their lives in the wake of the attack. He said, “A group of Boko Haram members attacked the police station, went away with all the weapons in there, and burnt it down. There was no casualty because all the policemen ran away.”
