Gunmen invaded Government Secondary School Jangebe in the Talata-Mafara local government area of Zamfara state in the early hours of Friday, February 26, 2021 abducting about 300 female students.
A staff of the all female school who spoke pleaded for anonymity disclosed the bandits invaded the school at about 1am with Hilux vehicles and motorcycles.
The state government or police authorities, are yet to react to the development.
He added that the bandits arrived clad in uniforms and were protected by security personnel.
According to him, they later broke into the hostels and abducted more than 300 students.
This comes eight days after dozens of school boys and staff were abducted from Government Science College in Kagara, Niger state.
