Well, there’s not much more to expect about a reality show that center around two angry black women about to catch fades. This particular incident unfortunately involves Bravo star Melyssa Ford getting a bottle smashed into her head, and it looked pretty unscripted…
TMZ caught up with Ford, only to encounter that she had a massive head injury and was traveling in a wheelchair. to Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC on Thursday. News states that the the woman that assaulted her, Geneva Thomas, has been arrested and booked for felony assault.
TMZ states that Ford’s post-fighting woozy state is an indicator that she is still feeling the pain from the brawl.
Who would’ve ever thought that reality TV of all show types could take it too far? It’s already painful enough to see woman who appear to have some class about them act obnoxious on television. But a bottle to the head? That takes rowdy to a whole new level.
Not that it matters why she did, but you can’t help but wonder what drove Thomas to attack Ford with a bottle. I guess hair pulling and slapping just couldn’t cut it.
Is it possible that an incidence could change the view of reality TV from here on? Maybe there will be some rules and regulations about fighting for TV this time around – as in no weapons? Maybe this will transition into a wake-up call for reality starts to make them think twice about putting hands on each other?
On the other hand, this could spike up the ratings even more, now that TV viewers have learned that petty drama can escalate to life-threatening violence. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.
Despite everything that has happened, I hope for nothing but the best for Ford’s recovery. How do you think Melyssa Ford’s assault will effect reality TV?
