NAN – The Borno Government said on Saturday that it planned to overhaul its transport company, the Borno Express, to make it viable in line with current realities.
Alhaji Adamu Lawan, the Commissioner of Works and Transport, stated this while inspecting facilities at the company’s premises in Maiduguri.
Lawan said that the company had a long history in the development of the state and expressed reservation over the current state of the company.
He said that his visit was aimed at getting first hand information on the challenges facing the company with a view to finding solutions to its problems.
Lawan also visited the state Directorate of Motor Vehicle Administration where he inspected the offices and equipment.
