NAN – The Borno State government said on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 that it had reviewed upward the 7 pm to 6 am curfew in Maiduguri due to the Ramadan fast.
Gov. Kashim Shettima disclosed this in a radio and television broadcast to the state in Maiduguri.
Shettima said that the curfew would now hold between 9.30 pm and 6 am daily.
He said that the new curfew period would be effective as from Thursday.
Shettima said that the object was to allow Muslim faithful in the state perform their religious obligations durimg the fasting period.
