Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has announced the appointment of some individuals into his cabinet on Friday, June 19, 2015.
The governor made some unusual appointments of special assistants on Twitter, Social Media, Media (Radio), Media (Television) among others.
This was contained in a press statement issued by Hajiya Maryam Ibrahim, a permanent secretary on Administration at the Governor’s office.
Below is a list of the newly appointed Special Assistants and their fields.
1. Isa Umar Gusau who has been appointed Special Adviser to His Excellency on Communications and Strategy.
2. A Mohammed Bashir Talbari, Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency on Social Media.
3. Usman Majidadi Kumo, Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency on Media (Radio).
4. Kwapchi Bata Dibal, Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency on Media (Television)
5. Yusuf Usman Shettima, Special Assistant to His Excellency on Twitter
6. Babazanna Abdulkareem, Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency on Special Project.
7. Mustapha Mohammed Kukawa, Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency on Special Duties (1).
8. Christopher Godwin Akaba, Special Assistant to His Excellency on Special Duties (11).
The governor congratulated the appointees for their well deserved appointment which was to start with immediate effect.
He further implored them to contribute immensely towards the development of the state in the course of their service.
