Nigeria’s former president General Olusegun Obasanjo according to a Thisday report is to visit his son, Lt. Col Adeboye Obasanjo who is currently in Jos, the Plateau state capital after receiving gunshot wounds from Boko Haram insurgents while on army duty in Michika, Adamawa state.
The junior Obasanjo was initially taken to the the Federal Medical Centre, Jimeta, Yola, the Adamawa state capital before he was flown to Jos for further treatment although it is still unclear whether he was taken to 3 Div Medical Centre, Rukuba Barracks or NAF Hospital, Jos.
Contrary to some media claims that he has fully recovered and was ready to return to the battle ground, the visit shows he still has some treatment to undergo, just as Lt. Col. Obasanjo clears the air as to the circumstances leading to his condition, as he affirmed that it was a frontal attack as against reports of an ambush which was widely circulated in the media.
