Boko Haram militants have reportedly struck in the early hours of Sunday, November 2, 2014 in a predominantly Christian community of Sabon Gari on the border of Borno and Adamawa States.
Fleeing residents who witnessed the gory scene said the sect members arrived the village area and slaughtered several people as they were heading to church.
He further stated that the actions of the militant group was successful owing to the recent exit of soldiers from the area.
Nigerian troops in the area had reportedly fled the community on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 after the terrorist group took over Mararaba and headed for Mubi, the second biggest city in Adamawa State.
