Boko Haram insurgents reportedly slit the throats of 10 fishermen in a village along the shores of Lake Chad close to Baga, Borno.
A local fisherman, Buhari Dan-Malam, from the village revealed the gory incident on Thursday, July 30, 2015, according to an AFP report.
Head of the fishermen union in Borno State, Abubakar Gamandi confirmed the attack saying: “On Monday around 4 pm (1500 GMT), Boko Haram attacked three villages on the shores of Lake Chad where they slaughtered 10 people, all of them fishermen.”
