Blues & Hills Consultancy and The High Commission of India in Abuja, through the out-going High Commissioner, His Excellency, Shri AR Ghanasyham hosted the Diplomatic Jazz Night at the residence of the High Commissioner on Saturday, January 16, 2016.
It was attended by the US Ambassador James F. Entwistle, The Ambassador of Ukraine, Dr. Valerii Aleksandruk, former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, and many more.
Nigerian-Swiss flutist, Tee Mac Iseli headlined the concert alongside international soul jazz artiste, Orliam, highlife artiste, Ugo Stevenson, Simon, Asikey, Adeh, Edge and 20 year-old guitarist, John Bethel. There was a special appearance by Yinka Davies.
Blues & Hills Consultancy was founded in 2011 by Nigerian writer, filmmaker and professor, Onyeka Nwelue, to promote African arts and culture in Asia, Europe and America.
The Diplomatic Jazz Night is supported by The Consulate General of Italy in Lagos, The Italian-Nigerian Festival of Cultures, The Lagos International Jazz Festival, Smooth FM, Fred Martins, Airtel, Invictus Group and La Cave Musik with media partnership of The Trent.
