Deputy Governor of Borno State, Zannah Mustapha on Friday, February 13, 2015 revealed that two teenagers were responsible for the bomb attack on Biu market which killed eight people and injured twenty others.
Mustapha made this known while briefing newsmen in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, adding that this was the first successful attack on Biu, the largest town in Southern Borno, as a previous attempt on the town led to the death of over 40 members of the Boko Haram sect.
In a related development, the two suspects. who were apprehended by operatives of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) have been handed over to military operatives for further investigation.
