Bishop T.D. Jakes To Sue Rapper Young Jizzle Over ‘Holy Ghost’ Remix [LISTEN]

Must read

One of the world’s leading preachers and mentors is not happy with a young rapper for using his sermon in his music without permission.

Bishop T. D. Jakes took to Facebook to express his displeasure over this that fact that rapper, Young Jizzle used his intellectual property in his music without authorisation and announced his plan to seek legal redress over the matter. The Facebook post said, “SPECIAL NOTICE: The ‘Holy Ghost’ remix by Jeezy featuring Kendrick Lamar was produced without the knowledge or consent of TD Jakes, TDJ Enterprises, Dexterity Music or its associated companies. We are taking the necessary legal actions to stop the unauthorized use of T.D. Jakes’ intellectual property.”

It appears Young Jizzle took a sample from Jakes’ sermon titled ‘Don’t Let The Chatter Stop You’ and used it in his song, ‘Holy Ghost (Remix)’ featuring fellow rapper, Kendrick Lamar

‘Holy Ghost (Remix)’ is featured on Young Jeezy’s new album Seen It All: The Autobiography which was released earlier in September 2014 and debuted at No. 2 on Billboard 200 chart. Young Jeezy nickname his Rolls-Royce holy ghost and in the video for the song, ‘Holy Ghost’, the Atlanta-based rapper is seen riding in the black luxury car. You can watch the video below after the song which offends Jakes.

Check out the sample below which begins at the beginning of the song.
