Two months ago, it was hard to determine if Bill Gates still held onto his number 1 spot as the world’s richest man. Forbes put Gates has a net worth at $82 billion, which puts him in the No. 2 spot behind Mexican telecom magnate Carlos Slim, who’s worth $85.4 billion. Bur according to Bloomberg, Gates is still the world’s richest man, worth about $86.5 billion, with Slim at No. 2.
“A billion here. A billion there. The point is, everyone agrees that Gates is unbelievably wealthy and getting richer all the time,” a Business Insider report which is focused on Bill Gate’s financial adviser of twenty years, Michael Larson.
The Wall Street Journal reveals that Gates hired Larson when his net worth was a ‘paltry’ $5 billion. He runs Gates’ personal investment company Cascade Investment LLC, funded solely by the Microsoft founder.
