Ace comedian, Bill Cosby on Monday, December 21, 2015 filed a lawsuit against supermodel, Beverly Johnson. The 78-year-old is claiming the model lied when she claimed he drugged and attempted to rape her at his New-York home in the 80s.
The lawsuit claims defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress. It claims that Cosby and Johnson had never spent time alone in the former’s house, he never drugged her and the story is a lie.
According to Cosby’s lawsuit, Johnson has made the accusations against him to help revive her career and to help promote sales of her memoir.
Over 40 women have publicly accused Cosby of assaulting them over four decades ago and they claim he usually drugged them before raping them. However no criminal charge has been filed against the comedian.
Cosby recently filed a counter-suit against seven other women who had also accused him of sexual assault.
