The first batch of nominees for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards were announced Friday, December 5, 2014.
Smith and fellow Brits Coldplay and Ed Sheeran will go up against Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande and Katy Perry for the best pop album title.
Beyonce is nominated for the biggest prize, album of the year, alongside Sam Smith who is nominated in six categories.. She already has 17 Grammys in other categories.
