It has been two years since she welcomed her first child into the world.
And so when it came to celebrating Blue Ivy’s second birthday, Beyoncé wanted to do something special.
Blue may be just a toddler but she already has a legion of fans, and received dozens of birthday messages online.

Ever the doting mother, Beyoncé posted them all on a Tumblr page for her little girl, who no doubt will treasure the sweet notes for years to come.
The singer also made a collage of some of the messages, which largely consisted of homemade signs and pictures of Blue.
‘Happy Birthday Miss Carter!’ the 32-year-old wrote across the collection of snaps.

Beyoncé and Jay Z always have time for their pride and joy, but the superstars are certainly busy.
Rapper Jay Z, real name Shawn Corey Carter, is currently in the midst of his Magna Carter World Tour.
Meanwhile last month Beyoncé unexpectedly released a self-titled album, with a music video for each song.

The star has opened up about being more vulnerable than ever on the record, in the fifth instalment of her documentary, entitled Self-Titled Part 5 Honesty.
‘I don’t think I would’ve done it, you know, back then,’ Beyoncé says of putting out such a personal project.
‘I don’t think I would’ve been confident enough. I would’ve been too afraid of what other people thought, but I kinda dropped that fourth wall and I did it.
