Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has declared on Twitter that he is donating his wardrobe allowance to unpaid workers of Osun State and to widows in his home state of Bayelsa. He made this declaration, even as new information has emerged on the exact figure of the wardrobe allowance of Nigerian legislators, Wednesday, June 17, 2015.

Bruce is a first time senator under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District. He is chairman of the Silverbird Group.
The Senate President Saraki has clarified today that wardrobe allowance for legislators is N506,600 per annum.
