Ben Affleck was allegedly kicked out of the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas after security believed they caught him counting cards, TMZ reports.
Sources told the website that the 41-year-old actor was in Las Vegas earlier this week with wife Jennifer Garner so the pair could spend some quality time together before he heads off to Detroit to film the new Batman movie. According to TMZ’s sources, Affleck was playing blackjack at a high rollers’ table when security suddenly “swarmed” him.
RadarOnline reports that Affleck was barred from playing shortly after 10 p.m. on April 28, “due to moving his money with the count,” according to an alert from a local security firm acquired by Star magazine. The actor was allegedly using “perfect basic,” which is a common term for introductory card counting, the alert stated. RadarOnline also reports that another alert was issued the next day to major casinos in the area claiming Affleck is “currently suspected of advantage play.”
Affleck is no stranger to gambling and famously lost $400,000 to Hollywood hotshot Ron Meyer in 2011.
The actor, who also starred in the casino-heist movie “Reindeer Games,” has reportedly been banned for life from playing blackjack at the Hard Rock Casino, according to TMZ’s sources.
Request for comment made to Affleck’s rep has yet to be returned.
