2 Corinthians 5:7 says “we walk by faith, not by sight”.
It therefore amazes me when people come to me and say ‘Pastor, I don’t feel God in my situation’.
The word “sight” used in 2 Corinthians 5:7 is not an exact translation of the original Greek. It actually means that we don’t walk according to the natural senses. Feelings don’t count.
Even when your natural senses are telling you they don’t feel God in your situation, ignore them and believe that God is in your situation. Many times you don’t feel like going to work but you still go.
Feelings are not the most reliable things. We are the ones subject to change not God and He has said “never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6 & Hebrews 13:5). So let’s learn to situate feelings in their proper perspective.
We must never feel our way into faith. Rather, we faith our way into feeling. If you BELIEVE that God is in your situation you will FEEL hopeful. When next you don’t feel God in your situation, remember that The Bible says “without faith it is impossible to please God”, it never said without feeling it is impossible to please God. Have a blessed day!
