Douye Diri, the Bayelsa State governor on Thursday, February 20, 2020, approved the appointment of four principal officers.
Daniel Alabrah, the acting chief press secretary to the Governor, in a statement, listed the new appointees to include Friday Benson, a former Speaker of the Bayelsa House of Assembly, who is to serve as secretary to the state government, SSG.
It said that Benson Agadaga is the chief of staff, while Peter Akpe is the deputy chief of staff.
The statement added that Irorodamie Komonibo has been appointed principal secretary.
“The appointments are with immediate effect,” the statement stated.
Diri, who was sworn into office on Friday, February 14, 2020, 24 hours after the Supreme Court of Nigeria disqualified the candidacy of the former governor-elect, David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
