Bala Mohammed, the newly elected governor of Bauchi State, has taken Natasha Mariana, a Lagos socialite as a second wife in an Islamic ceremony in Lagos.
The low-key ceremony held at the Syrian mosque in Ikoyi, Lagos on Friday, July 26, 2019 and was attended by friends and political associates of the former minister of the Federal Capital Territory and family and friends of the bride.
Mariana, who is a Nigerian-Lebanese, becomes the second wife of the governor, who is already married and has children.
Mohammed, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was declared winner of the Bauchi State governorship election in March 2019.
The 60-year-old former senator defeated Mohammed Abubakar, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and incumbent governor.
