Three persons have been reported killed and over 20 others kidnapped by bandits who invaded Ungwar Maiduniya and Ungwar Bulus community of Sab in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State on Thursday night.
The councillor representing Sabo Ward, Hon. Makama confirmed that two persons were killed with about 15 persons kidnapped.
He said more persons were likely kidnapped as details of the missing persons are still being collated.
A source confirmed the bandits entered the communities around about 9 pm and started shooting sporadically.
They reportedly killed three persons in the process and took away more than 20 others to an unknown destination.
It was also gathered locals and security agents trapped four of the bandits in the affected communities but details could not be ascertained.
Muhammed Jalige, the Kaduna Police spokesman, promised to contact the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, of the area and revert when contacted.
He was yet to do so as of the time of filing the report.
