NAN – The first baby of the year at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital in Gwagwalada, FCT, was born at 1.55 a.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016 the hospital’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Frank Omagbo, confirmed.
Omagbo said five other babies were born after the first delivery.
The first baby of the year, a male, was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Francis Elue of Niger and weighed 3.9 kilogrammes.
The baby was born through normal delivery and was the first child of the family after nine years of marriage.
The family thanked God for blessing them with the gift of a child at the beginning of the new year.
