A four-month old baby reportedly died after rats chewed off part of her face while her mum went for a party.
18-year-old single mother, Lizbeth Jeronima Fuentes Munguia, returned home after the party in the early hours of Tuesday, January 5, 2016 to find her baby’s lifeless remains inside her cot at the house in Acolam, near Mexico City.
Some paramedics were alerted and they rushed to the house only to pronounce the poor child dead at the scene.
Munguia was arrested and taken away by police to give a statement, Metro UK reports.
Local reports said the baby’s unnamed grandmother, who had been left in charge of the youngster, was also held.
