Autopsy Revealed My Daughter Was Electrocuted – Mother Of 12-Year-Old Chrisland Student

Blessing Adeniran, the mother of the 12-year-old Chrisland pupil, Whitney, who died during the school’s inter-house sports, has disclosed that autopsy carried out on her daughter showed that she died of electrocution.

She made it known in an Instagram live video on Wednesday., March 1, 2023

In the video, she said, “I want to thank everyone for your support, your calls and messages have helped us go through this very difficult period.

“The autopsy result is out and Desola was electrocuted. My daughter died of electrocution. I have been subjected to trauma for the past two weeks. Tomorrow will make it three weeks my baby died. The school made me think I was crazy They started pushing the narrative of she was sick; she was sickly. They sent letters and publications out.

“People insulted me and my family. My child was electrocuted to death. I told the school I don’t want trouble. All I want is answers. They came to my house and knelt down.

“I begged, I pleaded, I said ‘Mrs Amao please, I don’t know how autopsy is being done but I have browsed it and the image is scary. Please my daughter is already dead, don’t make me put her through that, they will butcher her. I beg you in the name of God, you are a mother, help me investigate and find out what happened.’

“She said she doesn’t know. They refused to investigate.

“My daughter was butchered for autopsy. She was opened up. They took part of her kidney, liver, stomach contents, blood, brain, bone marrow. Omodesola was butchered just because Chrisland kept protecting their reputation.”

The PUNCH had earlier reported that Whitney’s father, Dr. Michael Adeniran, had also claimed that his daughter died of electrocution prior to the autopsy.

Meanwhile, the school management in a statement, had said that the deceased slumped in “public view and not under any hidden circumstances,” adding that she was rushed to the nearest medical facility for first aid.

Sex Tape: 4 Chrisland School Teachers Arraigned Over Dubai Trip Scandal

The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday arraigned four teachers of Chrisland School at the Yaba Magistrate Court over sexual misconduct by five pupils of the school during an international trip.

Those brought to the court were the staff who accompanied the pupils to Dubai, UAE, for World School Games, a four-day annual competition with schools from all over the world.

They are Oladotun Sotunde, Elesho Tajudeen, Rhoda Olanipekun and Ajiboye Hammed.

The teachers are facing charges pertaining to alleged conspiracy and conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace.

After the sex video of the affected pupils went viral on social media, the Lagos State Government announced the closure of all the branches of the school in the state.

However, the government directed the reopening of the schools a week later following a review of the administrative investigation into the incident.

Sex Tape: Lagos Gov’t Reopens Chrisland Schools

The Lagos State Government has ordered the reopening of all Chrisland Schools shut down over controversies that surrounded an immoral act engaged in by some students of the school.

This was contained in a press statement by the Lagos State Commissioner of Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

The state government had shut down all Chrisland Schools in Lagos State on April 18, 2022.

Some pupils from the elite private school located in Victoria Garden City embarked on a trip to Dubai to participate in the World School Games between March 10 and 13, 2022 when the immoral act happened.

Following the incident, the school authorities suspended a female student indefinitely, stating that she was “a major actor” in an “immoral act”.

The government said the school’s Parent Teachers Association would be working on scheduled psychosocial support for the students involved in the immoral act.

The statement read, “The Lagos State Ministry of Education has directed that all Chrisland Schools shut for alleged misconduct of some students in Dubai be reopened from Monday, April 25th, 2022.

“The directive follows a review of the ongoing administrative investigation into the incident. Besides, it is to ensure that students are not denied access to learning when the new term begins on Monday 25th April 2022.

“The State Government shut the schools for the safety of students and the staff and to ensure unhindered investigation of the incident.

“The Ministry of Education and other relevant agencies of the State, in conjunction with the school’s Parent Teachers Association, will be working on scheduled psychosocial support for the students.

“An extensive assessment of the school’s procedure, especially on external trips and excursions, is being made to identify safety gaps and prevent such incidents.

“Besides, the Ministry will launch the reviewed guidelines/protocols governing private and public schools across the state within the next one month.”
